Spyderclub.com is now offline. There was very minimal traffic there and the owner decided to close it down versus the yearly hosting expense.

I have a lot of memories and got and gave a lot of help there. Twenty years worth! I was a member on there when dialup internet access was king: I joined October 2001.

Some folks are at the 550 Spyder group on facebook, which I and a couple others admin.

I hope the rest of the non-facebook folks will land here. Please welcome and help them(I know you will!).

It should slightly increase traffic here.

It’s always sad to see the demise of a good website because of lack of participation.  Spyderclub was THE Spyder site in it’s day, only to lose members to Facebook, et al.  Oh, well…..  That’s the way the website crumbles.

I’ll text Bruce LeDoux and let him know.  He founded the Spyderclub site back when I was still building my car.  He now races a Lamborghini, his wife a Lotus Elise and his 15 year old son a Spec Miata.  The family that races together, well….  Races together!

I was also one of the original members.  2001 sounds right.  I could always go to that sight and look up threads or comments I made years ago.  Yup, I hope than any spyder owners from that sight come over to SOC.  I did.  But I guess I joined this site in 2013 went I bought my IM.  I've certainly felt welcome if I owned a 550 or 356 or were between builds.  It is kind of sad.  I wish I had kept my Spyder Club badge which was on my first Spyder.  I'd love to have it on my new one.
