While I was visiting my Dad this last October, the neighbor brought his 40-something son-in-law over to have a look at what he thought must be Dad's new car.
The son-in-law, Menelaos Karamichalis, turns out to have been the president of the St. Louis PCA. (The pronunciation on his first name is Men-allow-us, like the Spartan king.)
Anyway, he wanted to see the orange crate. We probably spent a good 45 minutes poking over it, him asking questions and me explaining build decisions; it was cool.
I offered to let him drive it for a while after he looked over the components. Menelaos took her out for a half hour or more, and brought it back to me with the rubber smelling like it should have. The brakes were cooking; clearly, he had had a great time.
He made his assessments, didn't say much, shook my hand and graciously thanked me for the opportunity. He had a pretty standard SEG on his head when he left.

... And now, three months later:

Cory and I had a wonderful time at dinner with Kelly. (Thanks for picking up the tab, by the way, Kelly. The next two are on US!)

If the rest of you are half as decent and fun as Kelly (who I've now had the pleasure of meeting THREE times), then you're OK in my book!

Thanks for welcoming me into this crowd!
