I have a remote full flow oil filter on my car connected to the pump with rubber hose. I want to change this to braided stainless steel lines (AN-8 or10). Does anyone have a source / suggestion? I've been all over the web for a couple of days and not found any that have the fitting already installed. Suggestions?

I've heard that industrial supply houses will do custom length hoses with swedged ends (they won't come apart like the screw together ends sometimes do if they're not done right) at a much better price than anywhere that deals with the hot rod crowd. Minimum size is -8, and the Teflon lined hose is supposed to flow better and won't swell shut like the rubber lined hose sometimes does.

If you give me exact lengths and -AN sizes and the fittings on the ends I can make them for you and ship them out.

We offer stainless braided hose, and also black nylon braided stainless hose. We have blue and red -AN fittings, black, silver, or gunmetal with black ends as far as color fittings.

But I would need to know the exact (end to end) lengths. We use Redline fittings as well as Earls. Can be in aluminum or steel, whichever you prefer.

Look in the yellow pages under "Hose couplings and fittings" or do a google on "Tubes and Hoses" and see what'cha get.

People are making custom hydraulic hoses for the construction industry in every city in America.  You should have someone close by.

All you need do is bring in your old hoses (for length) and tell them what ends you want.  Braided hoses should cost (ballpark) $10 per end and $10 per foot of length.

I've had the swaged lines start leaking after a while and they can't be repaired other than putting a new end on them.  I would take Seduction up on his offer.  Use the black or stainless teflon and you won't have to worry about rocks hitting the lines.  They can also put heat shield on the lines where they run by the exhaust.
