Chris: Before removing spark plugs check these first. Take the air cleaners off your carbs and see if fuel is being squirted into them when you manually open the trottle. Take care not to flood the engine, one or two squirts should be ok. If you're getting fuel then check this next: Pull any spark plug wire and hold it close to any metal piece away from any fuel or fumes and have some one hit the starter, you should see spark, if not you may have a bad coil or points, sometimes the points can come loose. Actually its sound like a fuel problem, check fuel filter (also the fuel screens in the carbruators) fuel pump or possible vapor locks. One way to check fuel flow is to disconnect the coil wire from the distributor to prevent the engine from firing, then disconnect the main fuel line exiting from your fuel pump and point the hose into a bucket or other container, have someone turn the starter key to ON if you have an electrical fuel pump or turn the engine over if you have a mechanical one and see if fuel squirts into the bucket. This will eliminate fuel feed problems if you can get fuel squirting. Hope this helps...
