Now i have been driving my "newly" finished speedster for aboute 3 months - and have pushed the odometer beond 2500 miles.

It have been a blast to drive - with not a few talks with people that want to know what car it is, that want to take pictures, signing thumbs ups etc.
it is incredible how much attention it attract, it is all kind of people young, old, men, women....

now the weather is not that good, raining :-( - so i am longing to drive it again...

yes it have side repeaters, it is required by danish law, but i think i got some not "in your face" repeaters from a Skoda Octavia.

Right now it have a 1300f standart engine from 1968, but i have plans of upgrading it to a 1600 cc with dual carbs - the plan is not to have a racer, but a fun family cruiser.

it is so cool to drive a car you have made your self, but also abit scary in the start (have you forgotten anything :-)).
But by doing it your self, you know every bolt and nut on the car.

Nothing beats driving up the coastal highway to get a icecream together with you wife and two kids - with the AutoPC playing the best cruising hits in the speakers and the clear blue sky above you

Jesper, you have now discovered why each person on here owns a Speedster and what we truly love about our little cars.

Have a great Summer!!

The "Speedstah Guy" having a "Cruisin' Summer!"
The thing that I find most interesting about who is attracted to our cars is that very VERY young children (like 3 year olds), who don't know anything at all about cars, will immediately stop and stare. They seem to know that there is something very special about our cars compared to all the other cars in the parking lot. Frequently, their parent will have to tug them by the arm to get them to move on. I don't know what it is, but it can be parked right next to a Lambo, a Ferrari, or a Viper and it will be OUR CARS that they stare at. I don't really understand why, but its more than just because its shiny. These are VERY VERY special cars.
