I'm designing a two U - joint steering shaft for the Outlaw Speedster . Anyone have their steering wheel off the column ? I need a steering shaft measurement from the beginning of the threads down the shaft to the dash face ...Thanks ~

On mine it is about 4 1/2".
@Alan Merklin, what are you doing on the bottom end? Are you using a bushing at the end of the tube? Are you using the standard steering box?
I believe it is a Mendeola suspension all around, so rack AFAIK.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
Mendeola with R & P, the rack spline shaft is 6" to the right of steering column center. I just mocked up the steering shaft with two universals. The column tube itself will only be about 11" that will have a 2nd internal bushing , then the shaft extends into the first universal with a 2nd shaft to the 2nd Universal that will be on the rack spline shaft. I took a piece of 7/8" solid round stock the machine ship to have it turned 1/16" to fit a universal the rest of the connections are male to female universal slip joints. Because of the solid shaft the horn will work off the high beam trigger switch on the signal stalk w/ high beam mechanical switch on the floor.
