I want my '57 replica's steering wheel to look more 'authentic', but I don't like the old banjo wheels and prefer the wood look. Didn't a lot of the 356's have Nardi wheels added back in the 50's? Forgive my ignorance.

One possibility: My VS came with a Nardi (Classico, I believe) steering wheel and has the Nardi Logo Horn Button. I checked out the 'Knowledge' Section of this website, and George Brown and Dal Lee mentioned purchasing a Porsche Crest Horn Button from Perfect Motion in Florida. I cannot locate this organization via web-searches. I've also searched for other car parts places for a replacement button and haven't had any luck. Does anyone know where I can get such a replacement?

JPS' Horn Button: I don't like the JPS outer horn ring with the Allen screws surrounding the button. Will the JPS horn button work with the original Nardi ring? What do the old 1950's Nardi wheels look like there were sometimes added onto Porches? Do they have the Allen screw outer ring? If they did, then I guess I'll just order one.

Again, forgive my ignorance, and thanks a lot for your help/advice.

Brian, most people love the allen screw look and the polished piece he sends out is much nicer then the original Nardi ring. It also has a side benefit of not wanting to loosen up like the Nardi ring style does. I just got one and it really is a nice piece. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
Brian; you should be able to contact Perfect Motion through www.nardiusa.com I've got one of their buttons and to tell you the truth, you could probably do a homebrew that looks just as good while saving you some money. What they sell you is a regular Nardi button such as the one you have in there now and they blacken the Nardi logo and stick a small Porsche crest on it. You could look for a Porsche crest (such as the lapel pins Mid America Motorworks sells for $9.95 or crests found on Porsche keychains, etc.) and just stick it to your existing button.
Terry,

I checked your car photos. That's such a sharp interior combination/design. It has a lot of early Jag to it with the light seats and dark door caps and bottoms and wood wheel and all, plus . . . of course . . . the Speedster "hardware" and starting point.

What a terrific "vintage" approach. Nice combo! Great job!
