I just put my Nardi wheel and horn button up on eBay. The auction number is - 180282193106 - if you are interested. It is really like new (you know how I am about my car "stuff"!). If anyone is interested in it I will sell it for $225 plus actual shipping cost and take it off eBay.

Dusty,
Depending on what you're looking to replicate with respect to originallity I think the Banjo wheel was stock on the earlier models. Not that it's that big-a-deal, alot of speedster guys have them and they look great! It just struck me that you mentioned originallity. I had one on my car early on and I remember my buddy (he specializes in vintage Porsche restoration) saw it and asked why I had an earlier model wheel on my car? Being the freak that I am about my interior I couldn't stand knowing that it wasn't "supposed" to be there, so I got something a little more "original" looking. Plus I never liked the feel of the Banjo. I think the 56 & up cars (yours being a 'mid 57 & up')had the classic white wheel with the horn ring as a stock wheel, or a Derrington or Nardi as an option.
All that said, it's been discussed here recently how the wheel is a personal thing. I LOVE the look of the Banjo wheel. It's not my intention to deter you from having a Banjo, I just didn't know if you knew, or cared, about it's "originallity" with respect to the year. It's obvious you care alot about the look of your car, it's gorgeous!!!!
I knew the banjo wasnt the period correct wheel for these cars but I didnt care. This wheel was the obvious choice in my facelift process, especially since I didnt want to spend over $1000 for a new wheel. I see the Nardis is all the new cars that I see (IM'S), and this is a custom look. I have had 4 Nardis in the past and had excellent success, this banjo (FlAT 4) seems to be made in China and I will keep you posted on its durability.
Thanks, Will. Sorry to all others, it is now Will's property.
Thanks for the comments about the banjo wheel. I know it is not period correct, exactly, but it looks great and is accomplishing the look I wanted.

Here's an idea ... come to the Colorado gathering in three weeks and see for yourself.

OK, Flat 4.................

Here is the link and their U.S. dealers, from whom the Speedster makers buy probably unless they make enough Speedies to make it worth a direct ship.

I was a cheap guy. My flat four came with a black plain button. I found an extra hub cap Porsche logo (or you can get a knockoff Porsche badge on ebay for cheap) and glued it to the black hub.

The flat 4 I have is one Vintage sells

Steering wheel (Banjo)
with adapter & button 400.00ea

but it seems you may be able to get them cheaper from one of the Flat 4 dealers (who knew Flat 4 is a Japanese company or least a licensee?).
