It looks a lot like the Grant wheel My car had sans the holes but my wheel wasnt made in Italy. The designer wheels are made in Italy, the most famous is Nardi so you may have something worth a couple of bucks more to the right person.

Speedster Grant wood steering wheel

Doubt it's a Nardi. Nardi wheels are usually signed on the front of the wheel and they have a serial number on the back. And I've never seen a Nardi where the wood comes up onto the spokes.

Definitely looks like a Grant wheel from their Collector's Edition line. The good news if it is a Grant that wheel originally sold for $300.00.

Thanks Robert but I knew my wheel was a Grant the original post was from vwjohn and he was looking for the maker's name of his wheel which has the 5 mounting holes and "Italy" stamped in the back. Yes my wheel is a Grant wheel from the collectors edition but what is the wheel vwjohn posted a pic of as seen in the first post.

Details, details. LOL

It looked so much like the original I got confused. It might be a Grant GT wheel which had a retail price of $289.00. Grant has manufacturing plants in Mexico and Italy but I couldn't find any information as to wether or not they stamped the origin of manufacture on the back of the wheel. Additionally, the Grant GT wheel has "Grant" etched onto the bottom spoke. Kirk put a lot of Grant wheels on his cars. There are a lot of fake and/or homage Grant steering wheels out there so it could just be a knock off.
