Steering wheel location

I am trying to finish up my steering column today since the weather is so bad that I can't get outside!
Can someone give me the distance from the top of their steering wheel to the eyebrow on the dash?  Mine is 3 inches in the pics.  It was a little over 5 inches with the original Nardi adapter. I have built an adapter in order to make a more original looking column.  I think I need to lengthen the steering shaft an inch or two.  So am looking for this dimension.
