Hello again. Was hoping for some guidance.

My speedster was fitted with a porsche emblem placed as the horn on my steering wheel, and it seems to rattle intermittently while driving.  The round piece spins freely and is not really secured as it should be. The horn functions alright when depressed, but I'm wondering if there is something you recommend to secure that emblem properly to the wheel. Maybe it could be missing a spring, or something else?

It appears that Id have to remove the allan nuts holding it down to get at it and see about the best way to secure it. Im not ruling out something as simple as double sided tape (if there is enough surface to attach it to)  I'd hate to use something like glue that would create more problems later in the event i needed to remove/replace the wheel itself.

The photo IS NOT my wheel, but it is the same type of wheel... just wanted to attach it for reference.

Mark

The springs on the outside of my horn button won't reach all the way to touch the steering wheel hub. I have that same setup, Nardi wheel with Carey Hines machined aluminum hub. I solved the problem pretty easily.

Get yourself a spray can cap. Any will do, but carb cleaner or rattle can paint work. Cut a strip with heavy scissors, then trim it to make exactly one revolution inside the hub with the ends butt together. Try your button. If it doesn't secure the horn button, try another strip. Mine took two strips.
