i got mine locally but several places have them..empius.com page 110
my buddy ernie(esfinwilton) put it in, took 2-3 hours but fits perfectyou can search knowledge for a very detailed step by step install.
we also installed a rotary fuel pump up front with a cutoff switch under dash for security.

Does the 16 gallon tank require that you cut a hole in the hood for the filler or does it just fit in place of the 8 gallon tank? I just read the instructions and it sure looks like that is what needs to be done.

Yes to cleanancing the hood liner --- and if you had a spare just fit before - it probably no longer will.

you need to read the post in the knowlege section.
here it is in a nutshell
remove passenger wheel, drain tank, disconnect fuel line
remove 4 holddown bolts, unhook 2 sending wires, remove tank
install new tank, slips right in, tighten 4 bolts
attach wires and old sending unit.
AND the fun part(pucker factor of 10) drill 3.5" hole in bottom of hood. it is double panelled there with about an inch inbetween panels so i went real slow and it turned out perfect.
order new sending unit gasket too.
will take some after pics soon.

Leon, hoods on most Spyders are a lot lower than Speedsters(or Beetles). I would measure carefully and remember your fill will now be higher so you would have to be cut down and reweld it.
