I am looking at my build sheet for my speedster engine. Came across talk of straight cut cam gears being used and the sound the make. I would like to ask anyone that runs them what they think about the sound/noise they produce. I love the sound of a turbo winding up. Close to the same sound? Also, I plan on taking some long trips in the speedster. Is the noise such that it could become very tiresome on longer drives?
I explained to Tom I would like the car to look fast sitting still. I would also like it to sound fast as I rev it up, and ultimately own a car that is fast.

As always, any help is appreciated.

I don't think the style of case matters. But just for the record I have straight cuts in an aluminum case. They aren't that noticeable, certainly not annoying.

But then, I have virtually open exhaust so anyone within 20 feet has permanent hearing damage in a few minutes anyway. So a little bit of subtle gear whine goes unnoticed.

Id include a twin sidewinder like they now offer it looks stock . But lets it all out to play.

I have been emailing Tiger to tweek one up specal with the muffler shorter and mounted 2 inces higer fo superb ground clearance.

I am ready to beg if I have to. Im not going to argue the cost. If he will do it. I will buy it. and I have a $500.oo deposit waiting.
