Hello everyone! I purchased a kit car around the time of the 08 financial meltdown...was shorted many parts... and life got in the way. Finally after completing many family reno projects (and with retirement in site) I have begun my project. Parts are rolling in, progress is being made and our long cold winters in my warm comfy shop will provide endless hours of work/fun on this "Beast". My five year old grandson and German wife are pretty keen on it, so that's extra incentive for me. I'll post REAL progress reports and you'll see lots of questions directed at experienced owners. I love these cars and always wanted one...so here goes! Cheers!

Yeah, Jimmy.  CMC was dissolved into a bankruptcy entity called "Auto Resolution" operating under the watchful eye of the Florida State District Attorney's office (Janet Reno, at the time) but they managed to retain ownership of some of the production molds and tooling and went on to produce more cars under the Street Beast banner.

I only know of two people on here who have successfully built Street Beast Speedsters; @Alan Merklin and @Jerome Smith

Jerome doesn't hang out here much any more (and he sold his car), but maybe that link will find him, otherwise you'll have to catch him on the Speedster Owners site on Facebook, but either of those guys can tell you about the idiosyncrasies of the Street Beast Speedster (there are a number of them) and how to get around them.  A number of us have built CMC/Fiberfab cars on here, too, so there should be no end of information available - some of it even helpful!

BTW: I started my CMC 6 years before I retired but didn't have the time to finish it until after I retired.   Good Luck!
