I have a 2017 vintage speedster with the 1915 engine. somebody stripped out one of the spark plug holes and put in a Heli coil. While changing the spark plugs, the Heli coil came out! would anybody know the correct size Heli coil to put back in? Thanks

A Time Sert it's better than a Heli-coil. Stock plug is 14mm x 1.25
If it was mine, I'd use a Time-Cert like Alan says. If that doesn't work it's a weld job or a new head.
I vote for a time-cert, too, but you may be scared off by the price for a 14mm X 1.25 repair kit at $85 bucks (Amazon). The insert itself is a $5 item but you need the tools to clean the existing hole threads and then another tool to properly install the insert.
Same thing for a Helicoil, but the kit is around $30 bucks.
The difference you can already hold in your hand - the Helicoil might come out the next time you remove the plug (or maybe blow both insert AND plug out while on the road). The Time-Cert won't.
I've done this on a VW sedan with good luck, but there is a LOT more room in a VW than in the back of a Speedster. If it were mine, I would drop the engine (about an hour to get it out and onto the floor) and do the insert out in the shop. Not totally necessary, but certainly easier.

on my BSA helicoil came out with plug,,cleaned everything up, used the red loctite and no problems since...trying any other option means dropping the engine..;{
oh, dont forget the anti-seize stuff.
I'm a big fan of Time-cert. I stripped one of the big transaxle carrier bolts in my Speedster, the Time-cert set up worked as advertised.
Red Locktite on a Helicoil is a good solution. I've been doing that for years on stripped out threads. Have a Helicoil in BMW R100S head for 20 years. It's stayed in place.
Time-Cert fanboy here as well.
Heli-coils are for things you are selling or don't care about. Time-Cert or nothing(or welding).
