Great lookin' car tuart. What's the silver thing in the front lower right right kick panel (Is that the right word?) Where the passenger's feet go?

If its the round silver part, its a speaker?

That was my guess, but I've never seen a speaker grill like that. Any help Stuart?

It doesn't look like what's in my car. Maybe it really an "interroceter" disguised as a speaker (ref. "This Island Earth c. 1955). After all, everything is downsized now, right?

I will know more Weds when I lay my eyes on this little gem for the very first time!!!!
Steve is doing test drives and it is quite possible I will be on the road in the afternoon. Then again................. we will see when we see.
I will be sending Steve and Hoss e-mails if my crack berry has coverage across the nation with progress reports. I wil be taking pictures jef and will try to down load them when I get to SV.
The trip is roughly a little over 2,000 miles.
Now Hoss has done this trip with his Cab all the way to California and I am goin to try it to SUn Valley right out of the barn brand spanking new. We will see first hand how this Subby Speedster does.
Will keep you all posted. More to come!

It will be a miracle if that car is on the road to idaho tommorrow. I hope it is so they can finish my car, I am really worried at this point, I need to pick the car up in two weeks and Steve says it should be doable, but it took two weeks to finish this car so god I hope it is done.

Well everybody, Stuart should be arriving at SAW anytime now and taking a first look at his new car. Will he start out for Idaho today?? Stay tuned we will see?

Feed the hungry! It's 4:47 in North Carolina. Whaaaaaaas Happpenin?

I picked Stuart up at his Motel at a little after 9:30 AM this morning and shuttled him over to SAW. He had his first ride in a Tubaru and seemed genuinely impressed. His car is in the final stages of assembly and is supposed be ready to go out the door tomorrow. BTW, Stuart is a great guy and was a pleasure to meet. Of course I have often been known to say that about people who buy my lunch. LOL...... I hope we can get him to drive to Carlisle next May. Of course it would be a long drive from Idaho so I don't know if he would want to do that. Maybe he would be more likely to do the left coast gathering in April.
