Hi,
Absolutely modified, because replica cant be like original never. There is way too big hole between replica looking like original issues, i don't believe in replica standards at all as some people might see them.

Original is original, and money what i spend on this...I can buy better original cars than spend it on replica. So let say iam making new car with respect of porsche look.
Umm that was sweet.
I don't know but it is not going to look like its 50 year old and just out from porsche factory with fibreglass body and technical instruments from 2020...you know..

I am using plans from Rorty Design in Melbourne. something you can fab easily enough yourself in either the mid engine as designed or rear engined using the rear frame section from a Beetle from the torsion tube back. Note that this is a Beetle chassis and needs to be shortned for the Speedster. Drop the hospital headboard and integrate a roll bar/dash hoop to suit the Speedster body.

In my case rear engine Subaru power and a 915 gearbox but the options are many.

Only if you reverse engineer from the 356s do have a chance of making a frame as strong or as light.

The germans were and are very frugal with sheat metal and frame metal always concidering the weight of every peace.

I still beleive it can be done. Cory's is the closest I've seen yeat.

If you were to closy duplicate a 356 frame and pan then refine it to up to date suspecion parts with all the goodies I would be super wicked.
