No affiliation.. But if I was in the market, I would surely be giving this one a serious look!

Ha, one of those Becker's! All that leg room inside sure is Beck feature. Even the Buy It Now is a steal if it checks out. Looks like it has AC (by the dash vents) too.
Odd they didn't post pics of the engine.
That car has been around and not sure if it was a factory install (Carey?). For the right price it can be refreshed. If the same car I remember the engine compartment was not too pretty.
If that's a suby Beck its a hell of a deal.
I asked the seller to post pics of the engine and now two are there. Large aluminum box ahead of the engine likely consuming that dead space between the rear of the back seat area and the engine. . I can't tell the size of the engine from the pics.
Anyone recognize it ?
Not a factory built car.
The kit was assembled by Boulder Speedster (IIRC) and then went to another performance shop in Colorado and was converted to Subaru.
This particular car has been on the market a few times before and discussed on here I believe.
The ebay ad said it was a 2L subbi engine. So 1989-2004 EJ20 115-135 hp. Is the aluminum box to house the radiator and fans --- rather than the front of the car?
Can't tell from the pics but looks like an ej sohc block with a reversed intake manifold. The aluminum box looks like a carefully made radiator shroud that--my bet--doesn't work. Which might explain the constant turnover of this car. Maybe throw that away, relocate the rad to the space in front of the beam, and proceed from there...
The radiator looks to be front mounted to me. Note the aluminum shroud in the nose, forward of the tank, where the spare normally is.
Our cars have a rear shelf in front of the motor. It looks exactly like what is pictured, but normally it is in glass and not aluminum. Looks to me like that is simply a cover or skin, for what reason I don't know...
The reversed intake manifold threw me off for sure. There's also some aluminum sheet work up in the front of the trunk area too. Can't seem to find an overflow bottle anywhere either. Interesting.
Also saw another Speedster on ebay for $16K no reserve from Florida. Plenty of choices this time of year. Says it's a Vintage made by Inter-mecanica.
