I just read a article on Nickies in the 90s as used by BMW. and how the sulpher in pump gas makes them wear out much quicker. causeing a bunch of recalls.
Im not sure now 20 years later but isn't their still enough supfer in pump gas to case the same problem or has the fomula changed enough to avoid this problem.
