Looking forward to seeing our SOC friends on the 8th. I'll pre-run a tentative route heading through Trabuco Canyon onto Silverado Canyon onto Santiago Canyon and west on Chapman to Orange for a bite to eat.

Cruise time & lunch should be 2-3 hours - depending on lunch location. The easiest place for everyone to meet would be the Knowllwood hamburger joint on the Sand Canyon exit off the 5 south.

Ginny & I will be heading up to the mountains this weekend (Big Bear Lake) for some off-roading. I'll post a cruise route when we get home.

We'll incorporate a "Poker Run" in the cruise!

Peace - Out!

Taking into consideration an easy-convenient rendevous location on Sunday morning, a nice easy cruise through the canyons ending at a convenient lunch-spot with ample parking space for the Speedsters and easy Fwy access - here is a tentative agenda for this Sunday's cruise (Oct 8th);

1. 10:30-11:00 AM rendevous- Alicia exit off the 5 Fwy (Mission Viejo). Southbound SOC'ers turn left onto Alicia - Northbound SOC'ers turn Right onto Alicia. Continue to next signal (300 yds - Charlinda) turn right and enter parking lot for Target store. Meet in parking area closest to this intersection (Alicia/Charlinda)

2. 11:00-11:15 - head out on Alicia to Rancho Santa Margarita and start at beginning of Trabuco Cyn heading past Cook's Corner (biker hang-out) out through Live Oak Cyn onto Santiago Cyn onto Jamboree Rd.

NOTE: traffic & parking for our group of SOC'ers in vicinity of Orange Traffic Circle too dicey! Those who wish to, may stop at the traffic circle shopping area after Lunch at Knollwood's.

3. Jamboree to Sand Cyn/5Fwy to Knollwood Hamburger for lunch (cafe menu). Ample parking for Speedsters in back lot. Arriving at this location approximately 12:30-1:00 pm (depending on departure and traffic).

4. Stay for lunch or head home - 5 Fwy access around the corner - easy-peasy!

Any and all suggestions for this itinerary are welcome!!

Hope to see you there!

Wow, it looks like a great day was had by quite a few folks in their speedies. I can't imagine driving in a group of speedies as mine is the only one I have seen within a 50 mile radius of here.

Insanely jealous, but the good news is that we close on our new place in RSM mid November, so hope to be out in So Cal for the next run after that. I'm really looking forward to the group rides. Can't wait, especially as the leaves are starting to turn colour here, which means that the cold weather can't be too far behind. Forecast to be 38' here next Wed - brrrr.
