1957 Porsche Speedster
Super Wide Body Replica
$24,750
1957 356 Speedster "Super Wide Body" replica built in 2008 by Vintage Speedsters. http://kvanasx.hopto.org/orangespeedster2.htm

All Speedsters turn heads, but this Speedster will make heads spin like Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

If you're looking for fun and excitement and you like the idea of "the wind in your hair," but think a motorcycle is too dangerous or, you already have a motorcycle, but your significant other is tired of riding on the back and you want something that is just as exciting, but more comfortable and way more classy, then this car is for you!

More fun and much more comfortable than a motorcycle, costs about the same as a Harley. You can't fall off of it and there is

NO HELMET REQUIRED!!!

This Super Wide Body Speedster comes with an eye catching, special Porsche orange paint job, only seen on the 911 GT3-RS and the limited edition Boxster. It has a beautiful light sand interior and was factory built by Vintage Speedsters in June of 2008, so you know it was done right. This Speedster has only 2,100 miles, has never been driven in the rain and the exterior, interior, top and side curtains are in excellent, like new condition. The custom polished 17 inch wheels are simply spectacular and the tires still have the little "nubs" on them. The gold Porsche Carrera badges on the rear and dash and the Porsche emblem badge on the hood add the finishing touches.

This beautiful Speedster is built on a 1969 VW pan and is registered in California as a 1969 VW, with no smog certification requirements.

The engine is a big 1915cc VW with dual Weber carbs. It starts every time with just a turn of the key, sounds great, pulls well and runs VERY strong.

This Speedster has:
Super wide body
Light sand seats, door panels and dash trim
Tan top with matching side curtains
Tan carpet in both the interior and trunk
Nardi steering wheel
Coco mats
Kenwood AM/FM/CD player with removable face plate and remote control
Porsche Carrera badges front and dash
Porsche emblem badge on hood
Front and rear Nerf bars
1915cc Type 1 VW engine
4 speed manual 4:12 transmission (perfect for cruising those country roads and powering through the twisties)
Dual Weber carburetors
Electric fuel pump
Front disc brakes
Custom 17 inch polished wheels
Half tonneau cover
Full car cover

This Speedster is simply stunning, it turns heads everywhere it goes and is a joy to drive. All you will need to do with this car is buy it and drive it.

Thanks Troy I just checked it, my mechanic that built my engine was looking at it too I think. Will have to give him a heads up. Hope you sold the silver for a modest gain. I check ebay all the time, thanks for the link cause it was not listed with the regular cars. YOu tool around much? I am itching to hit the road perhaps I can head your way sometime you are only a couple hours away ther are a couple nice mountian runs down here, about a 3 hour run with no double back and the road is empty most the time. You finish up down the Kern RIver Canyon. Let me know, for sure in the fall, ever tried yosemite, we could bring the wives you know
Actually, us wide body guys are going to start our own club! We are tired of the way the regular body guys look down their noses at us and were not going to take it anymore! In fact, our annual meeting is coming up and the regular body guys are not welcome to attend! It will be in Maui in the fall, so don't worry about it conflicting with any of the east coast or west coast gatherings. Theron, please create a sign-up list for us. Oh wait, you're a regular body guy aren't you! Never mind.

Seriously, his name is Art and we didn't talk about it, but I'm pretty sure he is already aware of the SOC, since he has wanted a Speedster for a long time. His brother-in-law owns an 8 second Karman Ghia that he built himself and Art also owns a red slant nose 930 turbo. I'll make sure he is aware of SOC.

Did you hear that Vince.. "Down your noses" ? With ALL that nose hair I'd be surprised if we could look though that forest of follicles let alone down it!

Well tell Art we look forward to seeing him soon in So Cali! Especially with that tub YOU built.. Awesome job Troy... I hope to see you in Pismo next year too! Unless you join us in Oxnard for the new museum run that Vince is putting together with Scott I think... LOL..
