Just curious if anyone is aware of another Super Widebody with a Subaru motor? The only one in existence that I'm aware of is the one that used to be owned by Jerry Freeman and I own it now.

For what it is worth, I didn't even know that a single Subaru Super Widebody existed.

Troy, wasn't that one with a hardtop/Koolrydes suspension that the buyer had big issues after buying it from a dealer, including an undisclosed accident, a Suby too?
EDIT: I looked it up and it was a 1915cc
It would be a true unicorn.
The last owner of that car was Scott in Florida and your edit is correct, it had a VW motor.
So it does look like mine is a one of a kind, very rare, unicorn. If I had time before we leave the country, I'd put it up on BAT, but I don't so it will have to wait until Spring.
Yes, I am building one ! In the Netherlands
That's at least 2!

Pictures, a little more detail? Private message if you like.
It's nice that you will store it for me until Spring!

Is your car a Super Widebody or a Widebody? When do you expect to have it completed?
Yes, it is a superwide body from V.S. Arizona. I have removed the frame and wil shortly build it on the reinforced frame on the IRS Vw pan.
On the picture i had a succesfull trip in the backyard and had great access to he internals.
It is VW based with some improvements.
Rear alloy trailing arms with brakes , and front brakes from a 1988 944Turbo.
A 5 speed 911 3,2 G50 manual transmission. ( short nose type ).
Subaru EG series European engine with stock ECU. Radiator in the front , with air scoop under the frontbumper. In big VW tank submerged fuelpump. A pedal box for hydraulics. And nice heater for dutch wheather!
I am gona cut the rear of the body to have access to the engine. A pivoting rear clip. There will only be a seam visible on the rearside under the doors. Normal maintenance can be done from the decklid.
The car gets bumpers with alloy GT type trim
There is a lot of stuff to think over and have lots of fun building it!
I hope next year the car is painted and ready to drive.
