While doing the OEM fan & thermostat system conversion I removed the 36 HP style fan in my VS. Guess what? It had 1915 cc written in the back and I always thought I had a 1776 cc. I double checked with Kirk and he confirmed it; he told me he was having problems with the 1776 cc engines at that time and that the cost was the same so he gave me a 1915cc. In a sense I was pleasantly surprised but now I need to further tweak my car to make it work appropriately. That includes a less restrictive exhaust system and jetting the carbs. Do you think Kirk's new Tri-Mil system is appropriate for that size engine?

Brian, from what I've gathered here I think that the Tri-Mil is supplied as the standard exhaust from Vintage Speedsters. It's great because it replicates the original exhaust systems on old Porsche 356's. When I ordered my car the closest looking exhaust system to an original was the VW of Mexico / EMPI dual tailpipe header and exhaust but it's designed for stock or close to stock engines. I found out yesterday that the displacement of my motor is larger than I thought so I'm looking for alternatives to get a better flowing one.
