Made myself laugh with the thought that this topic could be in the sales category of "...was running when it was parked for...".
I ought a 2001 era VS built Speedster with 12K miles on it. I drove it 15K miles and had a brand new motor built. I drove that for 3K miles then out brand new VDO gauges in it and put a few thousand miles on the gauges and of course the motor. I also redid the wiring, the brakes, the carpet, the paint, the interior, the suspension, a new steering wheel, new tires, new rims, and etc, and etc. The only thing original to when I bought it was the front half of the body.
It’s like the story of selling George Washington’s hatchet. The one that he used to chop down the cherry tree tree. The handle was replaced twice and the head was replaced once.
When I sold the Speedster I put the whole story in the ad. What the buyer makes of all of that is up to him.

Actually not, Ray. I had exactly the same first response.
Thank you very much!
Um, the "Thank you very much!" was supposed to be an imitation of what The King said sometimes.

Perhaps not you, Julie (from what I know of you), or Mrs. Galat - but sadly with more than a few… yeah.
