Phil, just currious on how he gets the N/A 2.0 to 190hp?
Just like Chevy used to do it.....Decal.
I had the 165hp 2.5L. But doesn't that one have a turbo?
Then its not 190hp. Its still a beautiful Vintage Spyder with the up front radiator. Would love to have one in my garage. I'd probably go with the non-turbo 2.5. The car is less than 1500 lbs.
I doubt it would be that hard to go from 165 to 190 with some engine work.
I love the work on the front with the radiator.
Interesting take on a stock fuel tank as well................dunno how much it holds now though.........can't be much.
Just noticed now, picture seems to be squashed.
Dunno how much the radiator is cooling as it all seems pretty open in the front there.
I agree, that's a weird radiator setup. The quality looks excellent, but there is a lot of incoming air that can go around the rad, which is not a good thing. I learned that lesson when I put a custom rad and fans in my V8 Miata. I made sure that all of the air coming into the front of the car was channeled direction into the rad.
All the photos are distorted...
I'm with you guys on the rad. Looks like a nice grill in front, and a nice rad. And I guess there's a fan back behind the rad.
So the air can come in and it might go through the rad. I mean it has the opportunity, if it chooses to.
But then where does it go?
If it is shunted down below and behind that flat shroudy thingy on top then it might just work...
Imho it ought to have a shroud in front of the rad as well. And it loos as though such ductwork would leave a bit of extra, out-of-the-weather space at the margins under the front hood. Room enough maybe for a small tool bag, or a lunch bucket. . . or a kilo of coke, or a zip-lock baggie with three pairs of boxer shorts in it (get it? boxer shorts!) for those weekend getaways.
