If I remember correctly, the less pressure you have on the torsion bar it will dial in more negative camber (tires tipped towards the center of the car) So, if you loosen the adjusting bolts that will remove pre-load on the torsion bars and will cause negative camber
On an adjustable spring plate, loosening the adjustment screw causes the ride height to be lowered, which in effect will increase the amount of negative camber on the wheel.
