Around town with 165 to 170 BHP type 1 engine 20 to 22 mpg; cruising at 70 mph 29 to 31 mpg. Mileage will depend on state of tune, carb jetting, tire pressure, gear ratios, and suspension alignment (toe-in, etc.), and how you drive. These cars are lightweights, so if your milage is bad something (or things) is (are) wrong.
Not even knowing your mileage just adds to the adventure. I have a type 4 spedster and put in a 16 gallons tank to extend my range. The original sender was rebent and re-installed in a sort of "let's see what happens" mode. So the sender moves around a bit. Then the instruments are all in metric. So the drill becomes, "I have about 2/3 of a 16 gallon tank and my re-settable odometer all ready records 170 kilometers, can I make another 150 miles?" It almost makes a case for some modern electronics doesn't it?
Remember, its not the destination, it's the journey!
