OK, it's not COMPLETELY done, but pretty close. It's supposed to rain most of the day today so getting the wiring sorted out is not happnin. No worries though, it's gonna be chilly most of the week here so I won't be missing any top down weather. Hopefully by weeks end it'll all be sorted out. And I can't find my Ruettera badge so if anyone has one they want to sell I'm lookin.

I just want to thank all of you for your help. I'd of sold this thing long ago if it weren't for all the knowledge, help and support I get from this site. Thank you all.

I'm SURE that I have an extra badge around here for you. Got a pic of what it looks like so that I know what I'm looking for?

Oh, and except for that baggy black diaper that you're using for a top, that ride looks PISSA ! ! ! ! !

I never though that a bright red car could actually look sinister . . .
I'll post some better pics when I get it out and about, I just popped that one off with my phone this AM after I took it out for a quick spin before the rain started.
I sound proofed the "rear seat" area before I put the carpet in and did the bedliner stuff on the floor, MAN what a difference! It's sooooo much quieter in there.
With those new supports and the insulation it's a tight and quiet as it's ever been. No rattles, nothing.

It's funny, I was considering some hood straps from Dusty awhile back but decided against them because I didn't want to have to unbuckle everytime I filled up, but after seeing the car with all the black on it they would add a nice touch. I think I'll shoot Dusty an email.

Jimbo,
If I haven't thanked you for grabbing that poster for me, thanks a million! I'm looking forward to meeting you at Carlisle this year as well. Especially since I drove all the way up there last year in the rain and all you sissy marys wussed out and went home. ;)
TC and Rich, thanks for your kind offers. I have a couple more places to look before I give up, but I'll let you know on the Ruetters badge.

Am I the only one who thinks the wiring on the dual gauge is a rats nest? Jeez! I tried to get it sorted out today but ended up f'ing it up worse than it was so I'm dumping it on my buddy to sort out. I am NOT an auto electrical guy to say the least.
I ordered my bonnet straps from Dusty last night. It was great to talk to him in person. We chatted about his Ferrari and if anyone knows someone in the market for a 308 he's selling it for next to nothing. It pains me to know that I could get my dream car from a nice reputable man who appreciates cars and I don't have anywhere to put it. With his appreciation for fine autos I get the feeling he'll end up with another someday and maybe I can buy that one. ;)

I'll post pics this weekend hopefully. My buddy was working on the wiring and he still has some stuff to do monday. I have it back for the weekend and plan to scrape off the fiberglass "undercoating" from it, clean it up, patch any holes I missed from the top side, and do the bedliner on the underside as well. I'll also be installing the drain hole vents ala FP's suggestion.

As far as Carlisle goes - I'll be there on saturday all day. I don't know if I can stick around for dinner. We have sooooo much going on the next few months of weekends. Easter, friend coming in to visit and track day, sister coming in to visit, Gen Mgrs wedding, daughters birthday and mothers day, Carlisle, and then a kart race, all on consecutive weekends. Time is tight but I will be there with a full tank and throwing the keys to any and all who want to take it for a spin. It ain't no Hoopty but it's still fun.
