As said before by someone, schedule permitting count me in! June 05 is already filling up with Parts Obsolete and the Lincoln Highway Assoc convention in Ely, NV. Count me in Brian if your schedule works good, I am sure Scott wants to do Parts Obsolete next year also. That is serious fun!

The Tahoe Tub Tour (TTT) plan is to choose a weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun) that DOES NOT conflict with the following events...
Knotts Replica Rendevous
Parts Obsolete Campout
Pebble Beach Concours
Monterey Jazz Fest
Reno Air Races
Sacto Bugorama
(and others)
I'm looking into rental properties that comfortably sleep 10 or 12 people (5 couples or a mix of singles/couples) and they offer slow season rates after Labor Day.
I have found some Amazing properties that I'm working on.
(If the rentals fall through, or the costs aren't agreeable I will look into working a deal out with a resort or other option.)
Being Tahoe, the weather IS a factor, and I'm looking at Sept/Oct as a starting point.

Although full attendance at the SOT is NOT possible for me, I may just drive up during the early a.m. hours Fri. Say "Hi!" and head on back to Sac. the same day.

You got it right! I think most of the SOT people will be rolling in after lunch, probably between lunch and dinner. Since I am only about 25-30 miles away I can be over there earlier in the day if you are going to whiz up! Keep me posted. The Sept-Oct time frame for Tahoe looks good to me too, traffic is down and rates tend to drop after Labor Day! Weather is always pretty nice too, a nip in the air at higher elevations but we have these wonderful heating systems to keep us warm!

Brian. Just how early are you planning to leave on friday? I'm going too, and also plan on a early departure. If you want to hook up let me know.

It may be a last minute go, no-go decision at 0430 Fri.
The plan would be to link up with Eddie Janis on the way up as well, but I know he has a few puzzle pieces to work out too.
It is ALWAYS better/safer to travel in at least pairs in case there's a need for a second "sane" opinion on a problem.
It would be great to make the run with you, but I can't commit quite yet.
