Seems the rear tail lightbulbs (not brake light) are heating up enough to melt and warp the plastic red tail light cover on my speedster. I understand there is another bulb that can be used that puts out less heat...Does anyone know the exact part number for this lower heat light bulb that I can "easily" pop in? looking for an asy fix..thank you..

You can go to LED bulbs -
These are what I`m using for the tail light outer bulbs. You might need to change your turn signal flasher or add load equalizers. I had a issue with no turn signal flashing because I changed all my bulbs to LED.

Drclock's fix for melting tail light lenses. Smaller globe 1157 bulbs just pop them in, no messing with LED fit to socket issues or electronic flasher.

Thanks Alan, going to give that a try...taking the path of least resistance I guess...
"path of least resistance." I see what you did there...
Actually most resistance compared to LED.
“Resistance is Futile!”
As a followup, I purchased two 1156 LED bulbs from Amazon. Inserted them into the rear running light sockets (not brake/directional) and they work perfectly!! Thanks to everyone for their advice.
PS. only $7.00 for the light bulbs

No worries on flasher issues if it's just a running light guys....
Good fix noob Danny....
No flasher issues like Danny said, but sometimes LEDs just won't work for some strange reason for running lights. It may have been an issue with older LEDs and possibly corrected with newer LED technology.
I don't know what Speedster running lights are.
running lights aka parking lights
In this case the regular tail lights, I believe.

I'll bet that reversing the polarity to the running(parking) light would fix that, Troy.
