Due to the previous owner/builder's quest to confuse me even more, can someone tell me the correct wireing for the tail light. I know what wires for the tail, brake, and signal are from the harness, but the rewired tail lights all have red wires. there is a one filiment bulb and a two filiment bulb. which is the tail, turn, and brake. Thanks

Chuck, there is some variation that I have noticed in how the tail lights are wired. My car has the tail and stop lights on the inside (dual filament) and the turn signal on the outside. Mine has to be this way since I have the "Euro" style lenses, the amber colored combined with the red.

I noticed when following behind an IM that the tail lights were the opposite, signals on the inside, which requires a solid red lens. I am pointing this out so that you will see that there are some options as to how the lights are wired. It's a matter of preference.

One thing that I did notice is that I melted my inner (red) lens over a period of time which I understand is a common problem. My current solution to this is to use a 1037 bulb instead of the more common 1157. It seems that this fix, combined with a small heat shield, has resolved the problem, so far at least. Knock on wood!

If I recall correctly on my VS the outer is the running and turn signal light while the inner is the brake light. So since I have European lenses, when I turn on my lights only the amber lens lights up; the red lens only lights up when I use the brakes; I don't know if that's the correct way though.
