I recently changed my Tail Lite Lens to the Amber/Red Lens which are plastic like the Red Lens I took off, and I had to switch the Blub Holders around and mounted new Blub Holders and switched Blubs around so when I turn on the Lites at night the Red would be my Rear Tail Lites and Brake Lites and the Amber side would be my Blinkers.

Question did the Orginal Porsches have Glass Lens???

Does anyone know???

I was wondering because I would like Glass Lens! Does anybody sell sell Glass Lens???

Thank you, Kawika 55

Nope, not on the 356A.

The early cars had rear rectangular glass lenses, and some of the rear reflectors were glass, but the cats eye lenses on the 356A, B and C were plastic, made by SWF (as were the assemblies), and marked as such.

The current problem with fading lenses is because of modern cheapo manufacturing, the problem with melting has to do with the heat caused by the updated 12 volt electrical system and bulb choice.
