Guys, you're killing me.  I wish I could elaborate, but for now I need to keep my own comments on this issue to myself.  I appreciate and understand where Barry and others are coming from.  As you can probably understand, the details of any transaction have opportunities and challenges.  We are focused on the service we provide to former, existing and new customers.  I think you will find that the build times and finished product speak for themselves.  Other reputational issues and legacies will be dealt with in due time.  I do like the comments, seriously, keep them coming.

I can't believe you said that....

Vinnie, I said that they should "strongly consider recommending the removal" of Mr. McBurnie. It is only my opinion and mine only; I'm not telling anyone anything, and what CCW does is naturally up to them.

If you had been one of those on McBurnie's "screwed" list, you might well have had a similar opinion. I still reserve the right on SOC to post opinions...especially those that are grounded in facts. You should remember that I was one of McBurnie's customers; you evidently were not.

Again, I'm not telling CCW how to run their business, but I reserve even that right, and should the time come, you can bet that I will feel free to make any such pertinent comments. I didn't realize that comments on SOC about companies that might affect any of us as future customers would be misread and taken negatively.

It seems to me that since the replica industry is rather small and competetive, CCW will welcome constructive input in the future.

It must be remembered that companies such as theirs depends on a steady flow of new customers (us). Anything that would cast a bad light on these companies will tend to cause future customers to have second thoughts about buying from them. If I am wrong here, I certainly apologize, but I don't think that Mister AC would disagree. CCW is new, and will depend on re-creating a goodwill base that was lost when McBurnie ran Thunder Ranch. I would hope that my suggestion was constructive. What Mister AC does---as I have previously stated---is up to him.

Vinnie, there is nothing to forgive, but if you feel it applies, you are forgiven. I know that viruses can cause the mind to go nuts. You have been one of my "heroes" (no comments, Gerd) on SOC, and I didn't mean to come down hard on you (I hope I didn't).

Let's see what Mister AC has to say. I know he is under pressure to re-start TR under the new CCW name, and if he means what he says, he will need all the support we can give him. I would not like to be in his shoes; I have been in that position, and it takes an incredible amount of concentration, knowledge and the ability to handle stress. Anyone in business can lose sleep, waking up in the middle of the night with questions as to how they could do things better, and try to cope during the daytime.

Family life sometimes takes a back seat. They have to be concerned with employee relations, customer relations, marketing, taxes, government regulations and whether or not they are going to be profitable at the end of the year. These guys wear many hats, and mine is tipped to them.

Those of you who know me know I'm a NO Bullshit type of guy and could not stand Tom or the now GONE TR.

Here is a link to a forum that one of my customers wrote up about me. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=527009&highlight=zagar

It kind of show the type of guy I am.

I too have had a chance to talk to the new owners and managers of the all new CCW. I will say that I would recommend these guys and I'll tell you why.

Some of you know we at Mendeola had done some business with TR and like most dealings with Tom that people have we got screwed. We lost a brand new Shawn Gears built engine that cost over $17k. It was a joint venture with TR to display a car in our booth at SEMA and we had agreed to let him keep the $10K Mendeola 5 speed trans for use of the car. We asked for the motor back after the show and were told over and over he had not had a chance to pull it out yet. Then after a few weeks he says the engine is in a car out of the country and he thought we had given him it as payment for use of the car. No way did we do this as the engine belonged to one of our customers. Guess who paid for a replacement, NOT Tom.

Anyhow after talking to Chris one of the main guys at CCW he called us up the next day and said he thought he might have bought that engine from Tom along with a Mendeola 5 speed. He was willing to give it back to us and lose out on what he paid Tom for the engine. It turned out it was not our engine, but talk about speaking volumes about the new guys.

As for the shop, it looks like things are coming together and cars are getting finished. These guys are not joking around and look to be in full swing buy the end of the year. I would say look out Speedster and Porsche kit car world, there is a new player in the market and things are nice.

Keeping Tom on is the only thing that worries me. It's like finding out you have canser and only removing part of it. If something can hurt CCW that is it. I know there are a ton of tallanted people out there in the world. Keeping someone on your team that you can NOT trust is DUMB...... It's got me wondering why?????

Good night all.... I'm off to find a new hobby now that TR is gone.....

Wow... so what the hell happened? Was it all done with good intention or was it all a con?
