I DO love it! I THINK that it might be a Photo-chop image, only because of the hard shadows beneath the car, the total lack of shadow cast by the side mirror, and the vague area at the trailing edge of the rear wheel.

Regardless, I'm already snitching an idea from it. The two front horn grills look like they are made (or photo manipulated) out of four. with two inside sections grafted together to eliminate the outer section that's shaped to accomodate the directional.

Cool, clean and semi stock look, especially since I'm placing the blinklers either in the headlamps or behind the grills.

THANKS ! ! ! !

TC
Michael, am I interpreting your photos correctly? You cut the frame horns, welded tubing under and through what was left and then strapped the top of the transmission into place? You must have made your changes based on a final engine decision -- last I knew, you were debating the merits of a Type IV but still looking at rotary ... is that right? I'm pulling for you; this is cool stuff.

Ben, where in the world did you pull that one up from? Did you look for Porsche, Roadster, Ghia, 356 ... barn finds? I can't make out the thingie on the steering wheel and I haven't a clue what that dashboard comes from, but it looks like a weekend cruiser to me, cobbled or not!
I'm a little leary of the painted-over builder's plate and the screw-washer combo holding it on, though. Is it what it is, even when it ain't?
WOW! Ben ! ! ! !

What on earth . . . ?

I see a an MGA hood and possibly front fenders, although they MAY be Austin Healey, Ghia, or 912.
Maybe a Ghia nose, judging by the slight accent line. Filled and re-shaped of course.
I can't trace the doors really, but maybe Healey or Sumbeam Alpine . . . ?
Re-worked Healey dash, maybe windshield.
Ghia rear quarters.
MGA lower rear valance, They end abruptly like that, with no tuck-under.
356 rear interior bulkhead sections.
Healey steering wheel and center crest.
356 Pre-A idiot lights (WAY EXPENSIVE ! !)
VW gas gauge under dash.
356 inner foot wells and rockers.
Lucas front blinkers with VW headlamps/trim rings.
Triumph TR-2 or Healey rear deck lid hinges.
Looks like it once had Type III side scoops attached for additional cooling.
Maybe Henry J tail lights ! ? ! ?

But, over-all. The wheel base looks WAY to long to be a 356. Check the distance between the door edge and wheel opening both front and rear. Maybe five inches more than there should be. I'd LOVE to get a look at the floor pans and under carriage on this one!

Ebay is SUCH a treat! You'd NEVER see something like this otherwise. Pretty Cool . . .
