I have a 1986 intermeccanica raodster, 1776 2 webers and have been out of the v.w. scene for 3 decades, I am chasing through the wiring harness and found the temp guage line hanging, the idiot light line is there conected to the sender as it should be. Where does the temp sender mount. I assume when the motor was built it wasn't put back. I could use some help with a good source and where to put it.

If I remember correctly CB Performance can set you up with a VDO unit. You'll need some sort of fitting that'll let you hook up the temp gauge and also the oil idiot light.

2349 = oil pressure idiot light only OR gauge only.
2350 = oil pressure idiot light AND gauge.
2351 plus 2355 = oil temp AND either one of the two above.
