Thanks to the man for doing a write up that made me decide to get my arse in gear. The worst of the worst has now been done and some minor tweaking is needed on the B-pillar bow as well as the mounting points, but this now at least will allow me to get it all up closer than it currently is.

Yeah, he gave just enough info on his site to really get me hooked.

All from scratch, I don't have anything to work from, so it's been a lot of trial and error, mainly error. I've basically been working off Mango's pics and my measurements as our local speedsters are a bit different.

Ignore all the extra threads and lack of washers and lock nuts. This is stage 1 of about 20 stages of mock up. Extra length on the bolts will be ground down, I have lock nuts as well as domed nuts that are going on.

I'm hoping to have some tabs welded on this weekend as well as the rear bow hooked up so that I can start on a new front bow from scratch. I hate the big bulky ones that the replicas use.

Hell yeah I remembered the nylon washers. Yeah it feels good man, I think that the defining moment was when I pulled the front bar back and all of a sudden it just started folding in on itself.

Fab porn right there buddy.

I have to pick up some additional stuff tomorrow as well as start on the lever on the B-bow so that it can make the C bow also collapse, but I'm actually looking forward to that one.

I'm proud to say that with the bows on the roof is nice and tight. I need a new roof made up though as the old one is crap.
