in the very near future hope to be the new "caretaker" of Rich Drewek's dream mobile.

Might even make it to Carlisle with it?

Big thanks to Rich for guiding me through the well put together Speedy. We are going to name her "Sharona II" per Dennis.

She will come out of the gate with a Safecraft Halon unit to try and prevent a repeat of Sharona I A few weeks ago.

The road test consisted of me driving it out of the garage and down the highway, while pointing out some of the nuances of the car as we let it warm up on a brisk early spring day, traveling through a few industrial parks. Once it warmed up, it was back out onto the main road again where I punched it for Tom. My eyes were on the road but I heard a "holy $hit!" out of Tom's mouth. We then ducked into another industrial park where I wanted Tom to take the driver's seat. "No, just take me back, I'm buying it!" I insisted that he drive it and got another "holy $hit" out of him once he got a chance to punch it.

We then headed back where Tom closed the deal by phone with the dealer.

Congratulations, Tom, I think you're going to love it, buddy!

It's Drewek's ole beauty. Rich traded it (and another 911) in for a super car. Word on the street is that Rich fell in love with the "Fast and Furious" franchise and  had to get a Honda for himself. He settled for the NSX because he was too tall for the CRX.

Well things are coming along now and by end of this week I should hold title to "Sharona II" or the "2.7L Monster" whichever you prefer.

Took delivery of my Safecraft 50-1025 Halon unit (hope to install at Carlisle or upon return to FL).

Assisted daughter in buying GMC Sierra to trailer 2.7L Monster to Carlisle from Chicago; then to FL at end of that weekend.

Crawdad-Dennis, get ready for some long drives as the Pilot/Co-Pilot.

Look forward to sharing with SOC group and more important, for me, to learn from Rich and others about this Jake Raby special Type IV design.

Hope I will be able to get some sleep week leading to Carlisle.
