I love seeing these creations come to life, especially these once in a lifetime cars. Every time I see posts about these porsche engined IM's, it makes me want one even more. Your a very lucky man to be able to realize your automotive dreams as so few of us ever do.

I absolutely love the color choices you have made. You are guaranteed to NEVER see the same car pull up next to you, and if you do, with that engine you won't see him for long.

James
Thank you for all the comments. My choices aren't to everyone's taste. I struggled with them for longer than I would like to think about. I loved cars since I was a kid. Had many different kinds, and have been left on the roadside more than once. The front cutout is for an oil cooler with remote fan, the rear is for additional circulation out of the engine bay. With some modification the 3.2l should put out 250-265hp in a car weighing 2100lbs. Bulletproof reliable. James your right, being able to build a car, personally tailored is a dream come true. I hope to keep it for a long , long time. So does my 11 yr old!
Hi Ive posted some additional photos of the Fuchs 7/8 x16in which are color coordinated with the body shell. And other pics of the doors being hung, windscreen being fitting. The rectangular space in the front is for a 21 gallon fuel cell, which fit perfectly. As I get the progress pics I'll post them and invite any and all comments,or criticism. I'm doing this once in my life and could use the input from mt speedster colleagues.
Happy Labor Day weekend!. Ive posted the latest photos under my file name. The gauges are LED baclight, and you can start to see the car being assembled. Henry is on the downside of the mountain. I found the Grilled Hella's awhile ago in Europe, painted the back to match the car, along with the Raydot racing mirrors. The chrome bezels will remain on each. The running gear, suspension bits, calipers are going for RED powder coat to match the Plenums of my motor. Henry, is placing a 22 gallon fuel cell, right next to an 8in subwoofer, which should enhance my MBquart/Blauplunkt vintage head unit. Sub will have its own amp. I dont know if I'll ever use it though. Rick picked his car up the other day, he just wanted to listen to that flat 6 sing! Just thought I would update the crew. Henry said the build should be completed by mid October. I am planning to take delivery on the weekend of the 26th. Let's party!
Howard.... Love the flare's just enough to make it interesting. I remember you mentioning that you had the same fogs as me. I had a photo of the ones on Jim's car and I wanted to show you one small problem with Henry's wiring so it's not repeated on your car. I am mounting mine on the top of the bumper apron with support under the apron. Again, one beautiful car you are about secure.....

Ive updated my photos with the latest from Vancouver. Ive added additional insulation throughout the cabin to make it cozy to do business. My lights, Hellas's from Germany are on. Inside the work continues with great fit, quality materials and attention to my every request. Having the time of my life albeit from a distance. ETA, should be at the end of October. I'll keep the pics coming.
Thank you for your kind words. Last night Henry shot some additional photos. Much better.... Car actually has a top, fog lamps, etc. Please peruse them at my site. Id love some feedback. The 911 Carrera suspension (circa 1988), will be completely rebuilt, and powder coated in RED to match the engine. Calipers included. Should be installed next week. 915 transaxel is at Chris's German Garage, having a Guard GT LSD placed, to make sure I get the power down. Steve Wong DME upgraded chip, Wevo coupler/shift linkage, wheels with Bridgestone SO2 pole position rubber, 225/205 should give me some grip. Fuel Safe 21 gallon cell in front boot, along with Quart speakers,8in sub in front boot should give me some road tunes. All linked up to a Vintage Blaup rebuilt from S&M(love the name) Radio, four channel/ipod/sat/ ready. Almost forgot, Color keyed Fuchs 911 Carrera wheels, polished, painted to match my BLUE.Navy blue German top, square weave carpets,Oringinal Derrington wheel, switchgear, painted ivory with matching radio buttons. Im out of breath. I hope you guys like it, as much as Ive had fun doing it.Can't put a price on a good time!
Hi Well Ive got some more "EYE CANDY" to share. Please go to my site. Nice shots of the rear quarters. MK exhaust is fabricating a single outlet centered exhaust with a modified "oval" look. It should sound and look the part. This is getting unbearable. Can't wait to make the trip October 25th for delivery. I wont need a plane! My feet are hardly touching the ground as I write this.
Henry, told me that next week will really be exciting. Thecar will be sitting on their own Fuchs, color keyed wheels, on 16x8,and 7, Bridgestone SO2 potenzas. The transmission is being retro fitted with an LSD. Fortunately for me, my tranny guy saw some unaccepatble crud in my rebuild, and rebuilt it again, clean! All the parts were new,but....you know how that goes. Ive stopped counting $$$. This car will have to last me a long time. My next project, Im told....is a new kitchen! I'll consider that a fair trade.
