Howard,
Let me know how you like the Steve Wong chip. It is supposed to take an already great motronic system and make it even better... More power and outstanding smooth driveability.

If you like it and that proves true, let me know, I'll get Steve one for Christmas for his cabby.

Angela, Well worth the coin. Power distributed all along the rev range. Redline increased by 250 RPM to 6850. Usable torque, smoother acceleration. He matched my Euro-spec motor, MK exhaust and told me to have it placed on a Dyno, get additional mapping and would, at no additional cost fine tune a new chip and send it. Speak to him about the parameters of what your requirements are. He'll listen.
Hi , Ive added the last of the photos that Henry took. Well we've come to the end of the road, and the beginning! Henry has completed my build, with ceramic coating the exhaust, adding a dead pedal and doing the small details that separate his company from the "pack". Engine runs strong, injectors sonic cleaned, K&N cone filter, MK free flow exhaust system, Wong chip, and I'm ready to go. Glad I took the time to travel to Vancouver to go over things. What agreat way to nail down everything. No surprises, or disappointments with build quality when it comes off the enclosed trailer in 10 days or so. I'll add some additional pics through NJ horse country, out at Montauk Point, and any and all places "La Bomba Azul" travels!!!!!!
I posted some shots of Rick Davis's IM 2.7l roasdter 6 and my Speedster 6. Rick took these pics in a spot very familiar to our Intermeccanica brethren. They DO NOT leak either air/ nor water. Good heat, wipers that work, washers that squirt, defroster that defogs, Solidly built, professionally sorted out, powerful and a joy to drive, Why anyone would want a permanent top over they're head in cars like these dosen't make sense to me, at least when a real coupes are still relatively inexpensive, go figure.

Actually I took those pics Howard. We wouldn't want to besmirch Rick's fine photography skills by attributing my shots to him. I'm sure Rick will send you a few of his pics as well, and everyone can see the difference. The cars are the same though!

Having put a few break-in miles on your car, I must say it's very impressive, and a real powerhouse. And I love the handling. 911 suspension and all that rubber on the ground makes for a car that corners like it's on rails. It's all a guy could want in a car.....and it has a soft top too! My only thought was that it needs a windscreen.

You're going to really enjoy the bomb Howard.
Your photos are fine Ron. I am thinking about having Henry install a windscreen. I just dont do all that much high speed touring. Most of my driving is on two lane counrty roads and the like. With three kids and a full time job, Its hard to really "get away". It can always be retrofitted later as Henry has said. Thanks for the input though. I can't wait to have it come off the truck!
GRRR! Every moment Henry sorts out your car is another I have to wait! I hope you are able to live with yourself:) Those are indeed wonderful and classic IM pics Rick took. I will have to get a print to hang in the shop with mine once it is photogenic.

I hear most of my running gear is now in house and the chassis is being properly welded up to accept my propensity for wide wheels ('Propensity' was Henry's term, but I loved it so will use it ad nauseum).

We are thinking of backlighting the cross drilled rotors with color changing high power LEDs just to get a leg up on your artwork, Howard ;);)

Tomm
Howard, I was down at Santa's workshop yesterday, and your car wasn't there. Before you get too excited, it hasn't shipped either. It was at "Franks" having the engine tuned and tweaked. I don't know how Henry makes any money with all the fine tuning he does, but it will be over the top when it's finally done.

Tom, you'll be pleased to know that Henry isn't talking about Howard's car any more. Now he's talking about yours and Matt's.....and Kevin is spending his evenings pouring over 1.8T wiring diagrams and the like. Sounds like there is more to it than just 'drop it in and start it up'. Fortunately Kevin is a genius with this kind of thing.

It's pretty fun having Henry building cars in my backyard.....
You boyz are just jealous of Good Ole' Howard, aint cha!!!!! Christmas is comin' for this boy, and Henry is clickin his heals that Im out of his hair! Or whats left of it! The car is fully sorted out. NO outstanding issues that were discussed and not remediated. Look, Ive been part of this board for 18 months. This is a BIG buck car, but what the hell, you can't take it with you, and my wife Madeleine is God's, honest Saint. Shes as excited as I am. Whatever cars you drive, hobbies you have, my hat goes off to all of you that are hands on. What talent to be able to build stuff like this. I thank everyone at Intermeccancia for a truly unique, wonderful experience. I drove this car when Henry first got it going, it was very rough. He told me to hang on tight. It handles, accelerates, brakes with the best he has built, 2300 lbs, 250 hp , 915 short, 911 suspension, brakes, and anything else I could think of doing to her. Guys, gals, have a look at my photos from the start. By Jan 1, I should be posting some more shots, with some driving impressions. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL of you, Love Howard and Madeleine
Thanks Tomm, I can't wait for this car to make it across the country! Im following the weather and just hope it gets here in one piece. Your car is coming along. Hopefully it will be done in time for the BBQ. We hope to make it out again. But I think will do a Fly n'Ride with an Ultra Classic Harley, and follow you guys around.
Cheap out on the Engine..... Im not sure what THAT means. Should I have Chromed it? Powder coat seems fine to me.
