"La BOMBA" will arrive in Randolph, NJ this Sunday morning finally!!! After going through every snowstorn, icestorm, white-out between here and Washington State, my baby is about to be off loaded. I just hope it comes before the Giant-Tampa BAy playoff game. Then again, maybe I'll TIVO it and drive for the afternoon. Weather looks to be good, Sunny, 50 degrees, and a clear road!
Better news!!!! Instead of losing 2 nights sleep till Sunday, Its being delivered TOMORROW!!!!!! between 8-9am. I want to go to sleep early, so that the morning comes faster. I used to do that for Christmas when I was a kid. I would toss and turn and finally get up to see the real Santa's prepping for X-mas. I am videoing it coming off the trailer. Maybe u-tube?
Congratulations! With the car arriving Saturday, and DMV closed until Monday, how exactly do you plan to drive it on public roads with no license plates? Or did IM think of this and put British Columbia dealer (or manufacturer) plates on it? Otherwise, I hope your driveway is longer than mine -- though I did hit 33 mph in my driveway once.
Howard - knowing you - the car is already insured. That said, SCREW the plates and DRIVE IT ANYWAY!!!! Don't "push" it, but take it for a drive. You deserve this after this long wait. Then on Monday take a circuitous route to the DMV!

Oh, and Howard, if you don't post pictures - well let's just say "I know a guy..."

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! It arrived at 9am. What a great ride. Very different from when I test drove it in BC. Clutch uptake smooooth as butter, tracks perfectly, gobs of power and torque. Its also BEAUTIFUL.....My next door neighbor has a DB7 Vantage, pretty car, but...... this IS Classic. I drove around the NJ backroads for an hour just "bonding" with this puppy. The love affair has begun. MK exhaust sounds deep throated, growly, mean but not in an intrusive way. Drove through Chester, down RT 513 to Califon, back up to Oldwick, all of these towns date back to the Revolution. Postcard pretty. I can't believe it! 18 months in the making and absolutely surpasses my expectations. Photos to follow
Knew it was in town. I was talking to my neighbor and he asked if Lauren's car was home for winter break because he thought he saw it. Said he thought the blue looked really good but some how bighter than he remembered. Knew if had to be you out testing. Congratulations!!! Waiting is sweet torture but, sometimes worth it.
Bob the driver from Horseless Carriage is a stich. He told some very funny stories about how the "other" half responds. Some peek though a venetian blind, some stand there with the arms folded wearing a disapproving scowl, and some are just as enthusiastic as anyone. Thank God, Madeline falls into the latter category. But he had me laughing till my ribs hurt.
