I know that Theron has gratiously created a poll on the home page of this site to track attendees at Carlisle, but it's evident that a fair number of people have registerd with his poll who have not yet contacted me, and I have quite a few people on my database who've registered with me and not on the SOC poll.

Because of that discrepancy, I'll be posting the counts from my database here until the meet:

AS OF APRIL 14'TH AT 2PM:

Headcount: 66 (this does not nclude 8 people from Theron's poll)

Car Count: 40

Dinner headcounts:

Thursday (The Caddy Shack): 34

Friday (Al Star Cafe): 52

Saturday (Rillo's Italian Kitchen): 48

I'll update this weekly as we progress.....

I'm also a little light on cars, as I don NOT include those of manufacturers, only privately owned cars, both Speedsters and Spyders.

David: Let me know about the dinners - I need to give the restaurants a more-or-less accurate headcount. Thanks.

If you throw in a few "hangers-on" like the magazine folks and the "Roadies" from the manufacturers, we have about 6 - 10 more people and another 6 or so for dinner each night.

We've a limit of 70 people MAX for Saturday night dinner. If you haven't yet signed up with me, then get the lead out!!

GET A MOVE ON THERE, "WILD ONE"...

Time's a-wastin!!!

You PA guys always leave everything til the last minute ;>)

Next, we'll hear from Lane that he wants to put in a new HD clutch or sumpin'.... Lane! Did you hear the story on "Car Talk" about the guy who wanted a HD Clutch (HD Tony)?? They put one in and then he needed a pet Gorilla to push down the clutch pedal for him!!
DannyP - if you run into trouble with the AN lines, let me know. Worst case, we'll fab 'em up in the hospitality room one of the nights. ;-)

A lot of people mention tricks with electrical tape, masking tape, and so on. I wrap masking tape around the cut is to be, and then grab pair of bolt cutters to sever the sucker.

Usually does the trick, provided you didn't accidentally buy the cheap crap China braided lines.
Oh, ohhhhhh.....

Now Blackie can sneak up on people at intersections....

As this is the OPFFICIAL HEADCOUNT THREAD......

Car Count: 43

ANNOUNCING THE SATURDAY EVENING SPEAKERS!!

Rather than have a dry, semi-technical presentation where we often lose some of the non-rabid, Speedster fanatics, THIS year I've asked both Jack Crosby, driving from "Way-the-heck-down-there" in Arkansas and Dusty and Miss Sharon, trailering from Loveland, Colorado by way of Morro Bay and the Goodyear Store in Atascadero, to give us all a short Multi-media travelogue of their trips getting to Carlisle (I'm sure Dusty will slip in a few shots of Morro Bay, too!)

Should be a fun time, and don't forget the Saturday evening Raffle! Lots of great stuff coming!
