I ran my second kart race last weekend! It was an absolute blast! I did much better than the last race, I only went off once in the first practice session - being a little too aggressive and not knowing the track very well. We ran on the Shenandoah course at Summit Point, a much more demanding and complex track than the Summit course, uphill reverse camber turns, decreasing radius turns, you name it. The best turn was #2, a long sweeping right hander coming off the straightaway at full throttle (90-100mph) pulling about 2.5 g's! I could take that turn all day and love every inch of it.
My fastest lap was only 8 secs off the leader, I didn't have the correct gearing and I am still having an issue with it cutting out near top end (which I think we've concluded is a problem with the ignition coil arcing to a seat strut that it rests on, which I
