"The Hoopty" has been painted.

I found a computer that I could use to post a photo today.

 

I've put a few on facepage, if y'all want to cruise over there for a look. This is here to say thank-you to the guys and gals who have helped me over the last 12 years as the car has come together.

 

I can't thank you folks enough. The Hoopty has gone from a barely 36-bhp PITA CMC kit to a well-built, 200-bhp pro-street monster -- and is now (minus the windshield) exactly what I had hoped it would be when I re-did the chassis in 2006.

 

The car will be at Carlisle next year, but I'll be 'elsewhere' on 'business.' The not-so-Sloppy Jalopy be in friendly hands though, with my girlfriend Jeni and my wingman Chuck responsible for it while I'm gone.

So I'm looking at the picture of the Hoopty with the rear clip missing, sitting (obviously) in the back of an autobody shop or garage somewhere with "Super-Chief" Cory and MUSBJIM trying to look casual and all I hear are the Grateful Dead singing in the background;

 

"What a looooong, strange trip it's been!"

Hey!  And the driving lights finaly have their bezels frenched in....Hooray!
