Very cool stuff. I have watched that video many times. The Red Sunroof Coupe that was featured is VIN #111325 seen at 2:18 in the fifth part. It was very near my 60 Sunroof #111320. The production date of my car was April 12, 1960. I always wondered if any of the shots taken during the pan build were from my car or if my car was in any of the other shots.

Cheers!
I spent some time in the Fisher Body Central Enginering shops where we made pre-production tooling and a few complete cars. A whole lot of those "assembly lines" looked awful familiar, the wood tooling, and hand fixturing, surface plate layout, overhead chain hoists for assembly, hand welding panels and hand finishing. We did NOT hand beat complete panels, since we our job was developing tooling for later production.

Spent a lot of hours on those drawing boards, moving a tee square around and drawing lines for a living. We thought we were state of the art. No computers in those days. In retrospect, it was a much simpler time. Porsche's finished cars certainly sounded a lot better driving away than GMs ever did! Great movie.
