Thanks for the nice comments....just drove her home from VS down PCH to Ventura County....just like a wicked old bug BUT with good looks...what a blast!! Car was solid and ran perfectly. Again, (sorry to highjack) I would like to sing the praises of Kirk, Mary and the VS team. I was a very detailed and picky customer and they delivered!

Mucho Gracias Mike.....we are Uber stoked today, cannot stop visiting her in the garage. This may possibly be the most beautiful car I have ever seen (IMO).

Dear Jim and Gerd:
The "studio" picture was taken in my driveway at dusk in front of the open garage door to make a black background. I did some work in Photoshop and Lightroom to get the tonality.
I wish I had a studio, but I shoot cars outside for now. I'm an automotive photographer and writer for the Kansas City newspaper. I have a book called Wheels of Dreams, a collection of vintage car stories from my Sunday columns. Thanks for the compliment.

All beautiful cars and diverse interpretations of the same theme....I would trade our new wide-ass speedy for that bubble butt Gerd posted anyday...
I know I am a post whore BUT here are a few shots of the car completed.
First 3 are engine (notice we changed the coiled red VS style wire and some other VS traits):

Here's mine---2007 Vintage , 1915 cc, Dual somethings, Front sway bar, rear camber compensator, third brake light, Bad Boy air horn,
pretty well sorted.
Two long driving trips this year; 2,400 miles Hot Springs, AR to Carlisle, PA and back and 1,200 mile Smokies trip for the "Tail of The Dragon". About 5,500 miles on the car now 10/15/08.
Getting an average of 28 mpg driving 70-75 highway, 23-24 in city.
Very happy with this car in every way after sorting some minor issues.
I'm no mechanic but do my own valve adjustments, oil changes and simple things. Trying to learn more and couldn't have a good experience with the car without this great site and the fine folks
willing to help. Theron's site maintenance is first class too.
Pix are car in front of house and wife and daughter heading out for a drive. Sometimes they let me drive it too!---Jack

Here are some pictures from the last official drive for the CMC this year. This is the kit I got in June 2007 and had it on the road, licenced, and insured by June, 2008. We've done nearly 2000km in it going to shows and pleasure drives, and we've raked in a number of awards! It was the rainiest season on record, so hopefully next year it'll get out more!
