Originally I was set on going with a black finish for the speedster. Lately I've fallen completely for this look though:
Another Emory creation. GT Silver. The 550 nose is so attracting. How can that be achieved with fiberglass?

That's actually a 356B (T5) nose with the upper vents (horn grills) filled in and the lower oil cooler grill added. Does look pretty nice.
Notice how the rockers curve under the car? It looks like a modified B nose on a pre-A body. It's a weird combination, but yeah, I kinda like it too.
I believe this was a coupe with its top cut off.
We simply need this nosejob. There is no turning back. Enjoy it to the fullest here https://drive.google.com/drive...ux1pUZFJLcTZhTF93QTA
And a little vid to top if off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vR1UUzWa4c
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeeeeees!! Cmon Yoda! We need everybody in the 356 time machine hot tub. Nose is from a 356 type 5 yes? Just to tickle the purists bwaaahaa
Yup, 356B T5. The body looks like a Roadster body (356A version called Convertible D), which was basically a Speedster with a taller windshield and roll-up windows. I believe that they made only a few of those in the T5 body.Obviously the taller windshield part has been changed.

356B T5 with the speedster windshield. My kind of body. How can we make this happen?
hmmm... HMMMMMM!! will this work??

Half Nose Panel, right + left
Not in fiberglass
I'm guessing it would be best to splash it in fiberglass first to work on a glass car, which means making a mold first. Sounds like a lot of extra work (and expense), Lars. You have a very specific vision...
Yoda say a real determined nutbar you are!
Por que no?
Simultaneously we write my jedi master! Here a custom car making we are. Specifics about work and expense interested I am! A nutbar called being in this forum, the highest compliment there is I take it! : )
To be known as a Poopiehead is actually the highest honour (I know it has a u in it, but I'm Canadian, eh!), but I feel we just don't know each other well enough yet, although I'm sure that time will come soon enough, my friend!

I wish I could like this more than once. That made me laugh out loud Al. Funny you are.
Got the nose job sorted. But Im wondering about the bonnet. Is a 356B T5 bonnet different from an A?
Not my favourite... and I think more work was needed at the door seems to wave at you a bit.
Dude. Its perfect. 100%
Although I prefer the earlier pre A /A nose treatment and think it looks way cleaner than the later iteration (I know, I've told you this before!) I'm sure once it's built it will look great, as it does on the pics you've found. As Stan says, "it's a big tent, and there's room for all of us". Are you any further along in figuring out how it will be achieved?

Don't you guys remember the dude who was selling that partially finished replica with the B nose grafted onto it?
He tried to sell it like 3 times and each iteration was progressively worse? I think the last incarnation had orange scallops on a silver body?

I can't believe you guys forgot about that one...
Ted
I hadn't forgotten, Ted. I just figured when the conversation turned in this "B" nose direction that the entire project was turning into vaporware. It's one thing to want a car that somebody may be able to build for less than $100K, it's entirely another to want a car that exists only in the imagination of somebody who's "California Dreamin'".
Hahaha. Vaporware my white norse behind Stan. I have the price. And it sure is a lot less than what you guys spent over the years
But thanks for the compliments yall! I agree 100%. It looks like a 100K+ ride for sure
Totally do-able Lawsh
Excellent, Lars. You kind've dropped off the radar, so I assumed you thought better of it.
I'd bet that half baked CMC is still floating around somewhere on the east coast.
