Short report about my angiogram. Apparently the stress test revealed what turned out to be a false positive for some blockage however the angiogram showed zero blockage and a healthy heart. The final test is an echocardiogram to be done June 17 and that is expected to confirm everything we already know.
All this was due to my brother's passing 4/2 and my wanting to know that I am ok, which so far is the case. Now I am anxious for Corn Daze III to be rescheduled!
I appreciated the many kind thoughts you guys posted ---very uplifting and positive. Thanks.
Marty---hows your dad??
That's wonderful news, Jack, from your friends Bob and Mary up here in Canada. It was so nice talking to you and your lovely wife at Carlisle.
Many happy days to you until Carlisle 2015
Great to hear Jack!
Good on ya, Jack!
Glad to hear, Jack. A get-together without your big booming laugh just wouldn't be the same.
Hoo Rah Great news Jack!!!
Max the fun now that the threat is over..... Relax, and treasure the family..... There will always be an event in the works..... Glad things are easier for you and Alice.....
Amen, bro.
Marty and Jack:
I went through this sort of thing (both of you) in the past few years, too. First, my brother died of a massive heart attack and, of course, you wonder if there is something bad going on inside of you, too. So I went for one of those MRI/CT scan/ whatever the hell it is and found.....nothing. In fact, the guy looking at the scans told me my heart looked like a 30-year-old, and that was before all of this silly bike riding.
Then, my 91-year-old Mother fell and broke her hip which started a downward slide with the operation, new hip, rehab and all that. Kathy and I were the only caregivers and even though she was in a rehab hospital, it takes a lot on the caregivers part to make sure everything happens when it's supposed to.
Hang in there you guys. It sounds like Jack is doing all of the right things and for Marty, for whom all of this is assuredly new, all of us with older parents have gone through this, too, so we understand what you're going through. Please call me (508-241-8848) if you would like someone to talk with about stuff. I sure don't have all the answers, but I've already been through it.
Thanks Gordon.
