Danny, I would have loved to get it out this past weekend. My son had a "school" project to get done. Took all weekend. He'll pay for that!
Gordon, Ive tried to resend my info. All I get is a failure to deliver notice. Just know that Matt and I will be there for Friday dinner, leaving on Sunday. Cell # 917 846 4794. Pencil us in for all the activities. We are staying at the Carlisle Hotel. Have a couple of cool grill badges for the door prizes that Im planning to bring.
OK... info sent! I can NOT wait to meet everyone! My wonderful husband has even surprised me with a luggage rack for our girl!!! I think he was afraid of the way I pack & that he'd have to travel with my bag on his lap all the way to PA! Pray for sunshine all up & down the East Coast!!!
And one question about this raffle... WHAT type of stuff do you do??? Is there a Min/Max to value? Is it meant to be serious or joke stuff? Car stuff or anything? Give me some ideas!
Susan, we've had a myriad of different things on the raffle table. Mostly Speedster oriented. Some items were extra parts someone had laying around, like a set of rear reflectors or a rearview mirror. There's been nice Carb covers and engine grilles.
or a Porsche Hawaiian shirt. We get some stuff from vendors also, like Maguiers car care products and nice bits from the replica builders. I got a nice IM shirt one year and an electrical thingy that flashes my center brake light.
Oh yeah, there's been many nice bottles of wine, too.

Re: Karl M;

Por fortunamente, Karl has now entered the realm of "Soccer/Baseball/Football/etc...Dad" and spends a lot of his time either with his kids at events or driving them to/from said events.

Many, many of us have been there and can commiserate, I'm sure, but I'm also sure he's having a ball doing it.

I'll try bugging him via email to see if he'll makeCarlisle....

Well, that's Karl Macklin in the foreground with his silver car (that he bought from George Brown - I think Karl sold it, too) and I think the guy with the blue shirt in the background is Alan Merklin. That's all I've got, but it looks like Chris was only half-heartedly repeating his oath.......

I think the guy administering the Oath was Mike Cochrane. He was getting us to pledge NOT to become Canadians, eh?

Got your info Aaron... tnx
Just a bump and a reminder, folks.....

If you are planning on attending Carlisle and haven't yet sent me your info on whether or not you're attending the evening dinners and so forth, GET YOUR BUTT IN GEAR!!

Send me your info so I can let the restaurants know correct headcounts ahead of time!!

If you've already send your info in, please ignore this whining...

We've currently got over 60 people signed up and over 30 cars, so if you've been on the fence about joining us, remember that gas ain't gonna get any cheaper, and Lane's bought new underwear just in case we do a group picture.

Thanks!

Angela:

Message received and noted. Thank you!

Lane: Sorry I mentioned it. Kinda-sorta conjures up a disturbing image, now that I force myself to think about it......

Everyone else: We now have a secret, never-before-seen-at-this-event, thoroughly entertaining and captivating Saturday Evening Speaker!!

I've had several suggestions for dinner speakers, but everyone I asked said something like "Speedstah, who?" or had a history of working as anesthesiologists or something (snore...)

Our 2009 Carlisle Dinner Speaker is appealing to everyone; techies, non-techies, wrench-pullers, key turners, spouses, spouse-equivalents (even hostile spouse-equivalents), not to mention both the young and old members of our traveling band.

It promises to be an informative and entertaining evening - surely one you'll not want to consciously miss.

Stay tuned - we'll be announcing more goodies in the near future! Such as:

We're also trying to work out a deal between the Dakotas and Milwaukee to take all of that excess flood water they have on the Red River and turn it into beer for the Carlisle meet.

I'm just sayin..........
