Speaking of pictures...

I'll be bringing my digital SLR camera and a couple of lenses. Best case scenario, I'll be down on Thursday night in time to grab a beer or two before most retire from the hospitality room. Worst case, sometime mid-morning on Friday.

If anyone wants some nice crisp hi-res shots of their car, let me know and I'll be more than happy to shoot a couple. Usually there's a lot of space towards the edges of the grass parking areas to get some pictures without a lot of noise in the background, or we can pick any other area you want as a backdrop. It'll be in a high enough resolution so that you'd be able to blow it up to a framed shot on your wall without a problem.

And of course I'll be shooting a bunch of randoms throughout the event, so I'll toss those up in an album afterwards for Corey and anyone else, too. Theresa, I'll make sure you have a copy of everything I shoot, too.

Wow Teresa, those maps are really great! It's one thing to read where everyone is coming from, it's another so see on the map.

Marc and I are leaving tonight on our last trip before Carlisle! We should be back in the States late Wednesday night. Keep your fingers crossed for us that we don't have any delays or mx problems so that we get back right on time.

I hope everyone has a safe & fun trip into Carlisle! See you all soon!
Kelly -- Slipping $50 under the wiper blade is the same thing as handing it to him ... no mechanical wipers on the Hoopty, other than the hand of the driver / operator / passenger. I think we'll be in good shape. They're going to replace the wheel cylinders, brake hardware, rubber hoses and shoes. They'll also be connecting the hand brake. By the time I drove the 15 miles to Tif's this morning, there was hardly any brake fluid left in the reservoir. Scary. There's a nice spray pattern coming from inside of the left rear tire on the underside of the rear of the car! They're also going to "tune it up" and reconnect the secondary oil cooler (a la the sandwich plate that Cory cracked last fall, right before the Punkin Run).

Lane -- Thanks for the sammiches! Do you think we should send one to Cory? Maybe we can freeze-dry it. Or we could pack it in dry ice.

Re: Pictures -- I have a "universal" card reader for my computer, so I could copy pics from people's cameras. And there's always USB flash drives. It would be best to get the pictures before we leave Carlisle ... Out of sight, out of mind usually takes over when we all get home!

I can't believe the attendance! That's awesome. On a personal note, Danny and I shouldn't have much trouble unloading our "merch". I got 60 shirts made, even though I only had "orders" for 45 shirts. I think Danny's in the same boat. The shirts shipped today, and will arrive at the Hotel Carlisle tomorrow.

There's going to be name tags, right? There's a lot of fresh faces!
Name tags? Did I hear NAME TAGS??

You Bet'cha!

I got'cha name tags right here!

They've got the official Carlisle "Speedsters Meet Spyders" logo on 'em and everything. All we gotta do is fill in the names and we're good to recognize ("Oh....You're Gordon?)

Anyway, I'll have them at the hotel Thursday once we arrive, and I'll bring them along where ever we go until everyone has one (or two for Lane, so we can tell who he is both coming and going.)

Apparently, some of us have already left!!

I just got off the phone with Nolan Scott. He's spending the night in Savannah, GA, and then touring around the city tomorrow (it's a gorgeous place and a terrific "walking" city, too.)

He asked me if it was a six hour drive to Beaufort, or more?

I told him it took about 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Looks like he'll be able to take a nice liesurely tour tomorrow!!

I'll be doing the usual running around last minute, tomorrow, and then meet Nolan when he gets to Beaufort. Looks like we won't have to leave Wednesday at the crack of dawn, but maybe at a more civilized 9am or so to meet up with the rest of the SE bunch. should be an interesting trip - we'll be bringing the Jacks along, too!

VINCE!!

What can I say? We're gonna miss ya, but I understand that sometimes other things come first!

Plan on next year. We'll save some Oban for ya!
