To keep my legs up off season, I ride indoors all winter on a bike trainer. To keep from being bored outa my skull I watch training videos from around the world; Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, etc.
This morning I spent 90 minutes riding the Pacific Coast Highway north from near Point Reyes all the way to Manchester. I had never been to or seen the PCH before this and it must have been a relatively recent video (and in 4K, too!) because of the several places along that route where they were restoring/clearing the uphill side of the road from mudslides. Grass was brown so it was during the dry season, too... Maybe last Fall?
Anyway, WHAT A GORGEOUS ROAD!!!! I can now see why people rave about it. Must have been off-season a bit as there were almost no RVs out there, but the curves, the elevation changes, the scenery changes - everything was just gorgeous.
I'm very jealous of you folks who can drive it from time t time......
Here's the video link - Beware, it is over 4 HOURS long and you can bump the resolution up.....
